The 2022 Ultimate Pool Series | Dates & Venues Now Confirmed

The dates and venues for the 2022 Ultimate Pool Series have now been confirmed.

The 2022 Ultimate Pool Series consists of the expanded 48-player Professional Series and Challenger Series (now raised again to 288 players), as well as the newly launched Women’s Series which can accommodate up to 64 players.

All events will be played together at the same venues across four long weekends throughout the year.

With the huge rise in numbers – testament to the appeal of the Ultimate Pool circuit – the 2022 Series will be taking place in hotel venues.

The Ultimate Pool Series forms part of the wider 2022 Ultimate Pool Season which is set to feature over half a million-pound prize money in total. The 2022 season will begin at the end of December with the new Professional Cup which is televised live on BT Sport from the last 32 stage between the 27th-30th December, 2021.

The 2022 Ultimate Pool Series dates and venues are:

  • Professional and Challenger Events 1 & 2. Women’s Champions and Europa Leagues Event 1 | Friday 4th - Sunday 6th March, 2022: The Grand Hotel, Blackpool

  • Professional and Challenger Events 3 & 4. Women’s Champions and Europa Leagues Event 2. Ultimate Pool 3-Player Team | Friday 15th - Monday 18th April, 2022: The Hilton Metropole, Birmingham

  • Professional and Challenger Events 5 & 6. Women’s Champions and Europa Leagues Event 3 | Friday 24th - Sunday 26th June, 2022: The Grand Hotel, Blackpool

  • Professional and Challenger Events 7 & 8. Women’s Champions and Europa Leagues Grand Finals | Friday 9th - Sunday 11th December, 2022: The Grand Hotel, Blackpool

2022 PROFESSIONAL SERIES

The 2022 Ultimate Pool Professional Series will be expanded to 48 players.

The 48 is made up of: the 34 existing players from the 2021 Series, the top eight ranked players from the 2021 Challenger Series and six new professional players.

There is a total prize fund of £144,000 with a breakdown of:

Professional Events 1, 3, 5 and 7

Winner: £10,000

Runner-up: £4,000

Semi-finalists: £2,000 (each)

Quarter-finalists: £1,000 (each)

Last 16: £500 (each)

Professional Events 2, 4, 6 and 8

Winner: £4,000

Runner-up: £2,000

Semi-finalists: £1,000 (each)

Quarter-finalists: £500 (each)

2022 CHALLENGER SERIES

The 2022 Ultimate Pool Challenger Series will be able to accommodate up to 288 (was 256) players and is open anyone who is not a current professional 8-ball pool player.

The entry fee for the 2022 Challenger Series season is £760 (you also receive an official tour top). A £150 deposit will secure your place. We still have some spaces for this, please contact Zac Leonard (zac.leonard@ultimatepoolgroup.com) or Neil Toms for further details.

Winner: £7,000

Runner-Up: £3,000

Last 64 Losers: £100 (each)

2022 WOMEN’S SERIES

An exciting addition to the Ultimate Pool circuit will be the Women’s Series which is set to feature 64 players. The Series aims to raise the profile and appeal of the women’s game with record-breaking prize funds and extensive coverage.

The Series also has a route for a player each season to be promoted to the following season’s Professional Series (these players can play in both the Women’s and Professional Series’ during the same season).

2022 ULTIMATE POOL 3-PLAYER TEAM EVENT

Another new event to the Ultimate Pool calendar will be the Ultimate Pool 3-Player Team Event which will be played during the second weekend of the Series between the 15th - 18th April in Birmingham.

All players from the Professional, Challenger and Women’s Series’ will be eligible to enter. They will be drawn into three player teams.

There is a total prize fund of £11,700 with a breakdown of:

Winners: £3,000

Runners-Up: £1,500

Semi-Finalists: £750 (each team)

Quarter-Finalists: £375 (each team)

Last 16 Losers: £225 (each team)

Last 32 Losers: £150 (each team)

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

A full updated list of terms and conditions will soon be released in our ‘Standard Conditions of Competition Entry’ but it is mandatory for all players competing in the 2022 Ultimate Pool Series to stay at least two nights (Friday and Saturday) at the hotel venue that the relevant events are being played at.

The Ultimate Pool Series events mentioned above form part of the overall 2022 Ultimate Pool Season.

Other events that are already confirmed for the 2022 season are:

Ultimate Pool Professional Cup (26th-30th December, 2021) - Ranked Professional event. Prize fund: £26,000 with a top prize of £10,000.

Ultimate Pool Professional Grand Slam (18th-20th February, 2022) - Ranked Professional event. Prize fund: £36,000 with a top prize of £14,000.

Ultimate Pool Challenger Grand Slam (18th-20th February, 2022) - Unranked Challenger event. Prize fund: £22,800 with a top prize of £8,000.

Ultimate Pool Champions League Open Qualifying Event (29th & 30th January, 2022) - Full details here

Ultimate Pool Champions League (Monday nights in 2022 – Starts on 7th February) - Unranked Invitational event. Prize Fund: £19,600 with a top prize of £10,000.

Ultimate Pool Champion of Champions Shootout (Date to be confirmed) - Unranked Invitational event. Prize fund: £25,000 with a top prize of £15,000.
