The inaugural Ultimate Pool Masters took place in 2021.
Featuring 64 players, it was held across 21 weeks – typically Monday nights – live on FreeSports TV. Contested at the Players Pool & Snooker Lounge in Newcastle-under-Lyme, the event had a total prize fund of £20,000 with £10,000 of that going to the eventual winner. The tournament was not ranked.
The tournament was sponsored by Apply Mortgages.
Tournament Format
The tournament was straight knockout, although there were three different phases with a section of the draw completed each week.
- Phase One (64 players): 16 weeks of last 64 and last 32 matches
- Phase Two (16 players): 4 weeks of last 16 and quarter-final matches
- Phase Three (4 players): Finals Night consisting of both semi-finals and the final
