Number of Players: The 2022 event featured 128 players who are playing in the 2022 Challenger Series

Format/Status: The Challenger Grand Slam is an unranked Challenger event (amateurs only). The format consists of a double elimination qualifying phase followed by a straight knockout from the last 32 onwards.

All matches are races to 7, except for those on the losers’ side which will be races to 5.

Dates/Venue: The 2022 Challenger Grand Slam took place between the 18th-20th February at the Players Pool & Snooker Lounge, Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Prize Money: The 2022 Challenger Grand Slam had a total prize fund of £22,800. The prize money breakdown was as follows:

  • Winner: £8,000
  • Runner-Up: £3,000
  • Semi-Finalists: £1,300 each
  • Quarter-Finalists: £700 each
  • Last 16 Losers: £400 each
  • Last 32 Losers: £200 each
