The Ultimate Pool Group is delighted to announce that it has been recognised by the World Eightball Pool Federation (WEPF) as the Official Promoters and Organisers of Professional English 8-Ball Pool Events.
Founded in 1992 with an aim to unite pool associations across the world and to support them with their efforts to promote the sport, the WEPF has a thriving cosmopolitan membership and has successfully staged world championships every year since 1993, prior to the coronavirus pandemic.
Ultimate Pool recently received written confirmation of its professional body status from Joe Fanto, WEPF President.

Mark Quirk – Chairman of the Ultimate Pool Group – is excited about the acknowledgement and sees it as a big step for the sport as a whole moving forward.
“The Ultimate Pool Group is thrilled to receive official recognition of its professional body status from the World Eightball Pool Federation, and we would like to thank WEPF President Joe Fanto and his dedicated team for their correspondence.
We look forward to cooperating with the WEPF and introducing ourselves to member nations and federations across the world. Our long-term strategy at Ultimate Pool is a bold, but an achievable one – we are looking at the bigger picture and potential that 8-ball pool has.
We are working hard to provide transparent pathways and opportunities meaning that anyone – regardless of their location or background – can aspire to and achieve a dream of becoming a professional 8-ball pool player.”
