Due to the recent additions of Gareth Potts and Christophe Lambert to the Ultimate Pool Professional Series – raising the numbers on that particular circuit from 32 to 34 – the Ultimate Pool Group has made amendments to its series' qualification structure for this year and next.
After consultation with players, it has been decided that no player will be relegated from this season’s Professional Series – essentially rewarding all with a two-year series card.
The Ultimate Pool Group has also decided to raise the number of automatic promotion places from this year’s Challenger Series from four to eight.
Following the conclusion of events 7 and 8 in December, the top eight ranked players on the Challenger Series ranking list will earn a lucrative spot on the top-tier Ultimate Pool Professional Series for 2022.
The above changes mean there will be no need for playoffs this year.
Further information regards future ranking points and structure for the coming seasons will be released in due course.
