The Joker has the last laugh in Week 29 of the Masters

Jimmy The Joker Croxton booked his place into the last 32 of the Ultimate Pool Masters, coming through Group 29 comfortably. The night in Newcastle-under-Lyme got underway with a cracking match as The Joker ranked 30th in the Pro Series was tested along the way to victory. Croxton started beating Craig Dixon on his way to the group final with both players playing some incredible pool, Dixon producing the out of the tournament so far with a great pair of trick shots, but Croxton overcame Dixon 8-5.

Croxton then went on to play Phill Parkin in the Group final, Parkin got to the final having played a classic with Jon McAllister in a 5-5 draw when the match clock expired needing a six-red shootout to determine who would play Croxton. Parkin went through sinking all six reds in a time of 22.18 to set up the group final. And it was Croxton who got off to a great start as he raced into a 5-5 lead, there was some fightback from Parkin that did reduce the deficit, but the damage was already done. The Joker saw the match out 8-4 to move into the last 32. Next week is Group 30 which will see Oly Bale, Andy Meir, Adam Bassoo and Gaz Royds battle it out.
