**An Ultimate Pool record top prize of £15,000 will go to the winner of this Saturday’s 2022 Champion of Champions Shootout which is live all day on ViaPlay Sports UK, ultimatepool.tv and the Ultimate Pool App.** 

Featuring winners from this season’s Pro Series and Challenger Series, the Shootout event will be fast and furious, with 25-minute matches on show at the Players Pool and Snooker Lounge in Newcastle-under-Lyme. There will be a £25,000 prize fund for the 16-player invitational event, with the winner banking 15k of that – one thousand pounds more than what Stevie Dempsey received earlier this year for winning the Grand Slam. 

The runner-up will win £5,000 and the semi-finalists will both get £2,500. 

Defending champion Chris Melling won the inaugural event last year when he defeated Chris Day in the final.

The 16-player Champion of Champions Shootout invitational brings together this season's winners and best performing cueists from the Professional and Challenger Series'.

The unique one-day tournament is played across two sessions - 12pm-5pm and 7pm-11pm on Sunday 17th December.

**With a fast and furious one-day straight knockout format, the Champion of Champions Shootout is Ultimate Pool’s end-of-season extravaganza bringing together winners of professional and Challenger events from earlier in the season.**

Chris Melling won the first edition of the event in December 2021 when he defeated Chris Day in the final.

**Status:** Invitational Event

**Qualification:** Featuring event winners from that season’s Professional Series and Challenger Series.

**Date/Venue:** Saturday 17th December at the Players Pool & Snooker Lounge in Newcastle-under-Lyme. There will be afternoon and evening sessions.
