This weekend is the launch of the brand new Last Man Standing Event, sponsored by OutPatient Network, held in Newcastle Under Lyme, Staffordshire.
The concept will see 26 Players battle it out in a unique format. The Top 16 Professionals line up alongside 8 Qualifiers & 2 Wildcards.
The day will start with 2 randomly drawn names facing off. The winner advances, with the losing player going home. The winner will then choose which player they want to play next. If they don't wish to choose, their opponent will be drawn at random!
This continues until a player wins three in a row. Should this happen, the winner is rewarded with a respite for one match, and cannot be chosen. Two new players will then be randomly drawn.
THE HITMEN
The Hitmen are the top 4 players in the event, and each one carries a bounty reward of £500.00 on their head. The bounties are sponsored by Omnia Therapy. The Hitmen are confirmed as follows:

- Shane Thompson
Any player can call out a Hitman, but do so with caution! If you play and beat a Hitman, the following rewards are available at random.
INSTANT WIN!
You win the £500 bounty prize instantly, and the Hitman is out of the event.
EXTRA LIFE!
The Hitmen is awarded a second chance, and the player stays on the table! This is only available once
BECOME THE HITMAN!
The winner has the £500 bounty put on their head, and becomes the Hitman! The losing Hitman exits the event.
Matches are 30 minutes, race to 6. The clock stops for racking during the final 5 minutes. Golden Breaks / Ducks are in play. Should a match be a draw after time has run out, the match will be decided via 6 Red Shootout.
Day two will see the remaining players continue to battle out until we have a winner. However should there be 2 or more Hitmen still remaining, there will be a public vote to decide which Hitman should have a further £500 bounty added to their head. Should there be less than 2 hitmen left in the event, the public vote will decide a new Hitman!
