The Ultimate Pool Group is delighted to announce that experienced 8-ball pool administrator and promoter Neil Toms will be the Head of Tournament Operations for the Ultimate Pool Professional, Challenger and Women’s Series’ from the 2022 season.

A former England international that has won the WEPF World Team Championship, in recent years Toms has become one of the sport’s most respected organisers of big competitions and tours. Toms was the driving force behind the creation of the successful World Rules Pool Tour which gained universal acclaim amongst players and fans.

As Ultimate Pool moves into the next phase of its development which includes more events, players and prize money than ever before, Toms’ experience will be invaluable to the organisation moving forwards.

“I’m so excited at the opportunity to work on the Ultimate Pool project. Having seen the popularity and growth of Ultimate Pool inside just 12 months, it is something I had to be a part of, and is definitely the future direction of our sport,” said Toms.

“I’d like to thank all the players, fans, staff and volunteers that supported me with the World Rules Pool Tour – I hope to see you all around on the Ultimate Pool scene in 2022 and beyond.”

Ultimate Pool Group CEO Lee Kendall said “We are thrilled to have Neil Toms on board with us for our journey, he will be a very important part of the jigsaw.

As we now move our expanded Ultimate Pool Series events into hotel venues, Neil’s expert knowledge of the logistics behind running such big events will be crucial. With potentially over 350 players at an Ultimate Pool Series weekend next year, we will face very different challenges to what we have during our inaugural season.

Neil is trusted by the pool community – his proven track record is there for all to see – and as a top-level player himself, he knows what the players need in order to perform to the best of their abilities. We can’t wait to work with him as he shares the same enthusiasm, passion and vision for our sport that we all do.”

Toms will bring with him his team of officials who will work alongside existing Ultimate Pool Tournament Director Lee Grout.
